An advocate for the African/black woman, Albina Hipp is currently a Doctoral student, author, a teacher, and an Activist, at the Gender Studies Department at Åbo Akademi University. She is a holder in a Master’s in international Relations and Peace Studies. Her fields of interest are within the decolonial, race, gender, environment, conflict, and peace research: with an approach through an inter-sectional, de-colonial, postcolonial and African feminist lens. Albina also engages in activities that seek to empower and uplift women; especially those who find themselves living at the margins of society. She does this through Art, Poetry, Writing, and participates in community-based organisations projects.
